Revealing the cause of a two-plane collision at Haneda Airport in Tokyo

NHK reported that the Japanese Coast Guard plane stopped on the runway at Tokyo's Haneda Airport 40 seconds before it was hit by the passenger plane, which was completely burned in the accident.

The channel quoted the recording from surveillance cameras: “After leaving the runway, the plane stood motionless for about 40 seconds after colliding with a Japan Airlines plane.”

At the same time, the agency indicated that the crew of the Japan Airlines plane reported their inability to visually confirm the presence of another plane on the runway at the moment of landing.

Last Tuesday, a JAL passenger plane on its way from Sapporo to the Japanese capital, Tokyo, caught fire. According to updated data, there were 379 people on board, including 8 infants. Everyone was able to evacuate. There were 6 people on board the Coast Guard plane, 5 of whom died. The plane also caught fire after the collision.

Japanese media said that the plane caught fire as a result of the passenger side colliding with a Japanese Coast Guard plane.

As I mentioned, the passenger plane began to land after the pilot confirmed the permission he obtained to maneuver from the ground control authority.

Myanmar: The military junta releases more than nine thousand prisoners on humanitarian grounds

Myanmar media reported that the military government will release 9,652 prisoners, including 114 foreigners, under a general amnesty on the occasion of the country's independence anniversary.

The Southeast Asian country has been in turmoil since the military seized power in February 2021, abolishing a decade-long democratic experiment, and using lethal force to crush protests.

The Myanmar army seized power after complaining of fraud in the general elections in November 2020, which the party of former Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi won. Election monitoring groups found no evidence of significant fraud.

The military council says its tough measures are a legitimate campaign to combat "terrorists."

The United States, Britain, Australia and Canada have imposed sanctions on Myanmar, including restrictions on energy officials, members of the military junta and others.
