Houthi "flying tanks" are preparing for war with America

The Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) has T-80PV tanks equipped with a turbocharged engine that produces 1,100 horsepower.

Soviet-made tanks, called "flying tanks," participate in various exercises, including those aimed at training to confront a possible American and British ground operation against Yemen.

T-80 tanks were supplied to Yemen after repair in Belarus. There are 66 tanks delivered to the Yemeni army in 2011. The tanks entered service in the Third Republican Brigade of the National Guard. These tanks were actively used in Yemen, and it is known that they were able to destroy the American M60A1 tank.

There are assumptions that all of these tanks were lost in battles or were taken out of service for technical reasons. But it later became clear that the Houthis were able to keep some of them in a ready technical state.

It is worth noting that the Ansar Allah movement is known for its ability to develop various models of military equipment, starting with ballistic missiles and ending with drones made of tree branches.

By the way, various models of T-80 turboprop “flying” tanks are successfully used in special military operations, and are constantly being developed, both in the companies that manufacture them and in maintenance laboratories. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently revealed the T-80O tank, which received additional protection devices.

Unveiling the world's first electric aircraft powered by liquid hydrogen

Sirius, a Swiss startup with over 100 engineers, has unveiled the world's first electric aircraft powered by liquid hydrogen.

The company spokesman said that its plane can take off and land vertically. All of this enables the plane to fly far.

He explained that the Sirius Jet uses 20 rotating elements with a diameter of 30 centimeters and a special system for directed propulsion, which means that it can take off and land vertically and does not need a runway to roll. It can also accelerate in the air to 520 km/h.

There is an important characteristic that distinguishes the Sirius Jet from other electric aircraft, which is the long operating range of 1,850 kilometers, but this can be achieved with the condition that the aircraft carries only 3 passengers. As for the Millennium version, which carries 5 passengers, it requires replacing some of the hydrogen tanks with two additional seats, which will reduce the operating range to 1,045 kilometers, which also exceeds the capabilities of other electric aircraft.

This working range can be achieved thanks to the use of liquid hydrogen tanks with high pressure and temperature of 253 degrees Celsius below zero.
