A 6.7 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast of the Philippines

The US Geological Survey reported at dawn on Tuesday that an earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the Philippines.

The earthquake struck at a depth of 70 km and about 100 km southeast of Sarangani state, according to the US Geological Survey, but it did not issue a tsunami warning according to the US tsunami warning system, and there were no reports of injuries or damage.

Last December, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported that an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale occurred near Lubang Island, southwest of the capital, Manila.

On December 2, two people were killed and 9 others were injured as a result of a strong earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale that occurred in the southern state of Surigao in the Philippines.

Yonhap reported that Seoul's intelligence agency is "collecting and accumulating" detailed evidence of suspected weapons supplies from North Korea to Hamas, but "it is currently difficult to provide evidence due to the need to protect sources and take into account diplomatic relations."

Earlier, the United States claimed that Hamas fighters used a Korean-made F-7 grenade launcher from North Korea.
