US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that Washington will not allow Russia to achieve victory in Ukraine, and aims to continue supplying Kiev with military aid.
“We will not allow Hamas or (Russian President Vladimir) Putin to win,” Austin said at a forum organized by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation in California. “We will not allow our enemies to divide or weaken us.”
"The United States is the most powerful country on Earth. We can carry out multiple missions," he added, describing the Russian special operation in Ukraine as a "challenge to NATO allies " and a "direct attack on the rules-based international order."
He continued: "Therefore, the outcome of this conflict will determine global security for decades to come. We cannot remain immune from that."
