US authorities deport 119 Uzbek immigrants

US authorities deported 119 Uzbek citizens to their country who attempted to enter the United States illegally, according to the Uzbek Migration and Foreign Employment Agency.
According to the agency, “US authorities returned 119 Uzbek citizens to their homeland after they attempted to enter the United States illegally.”

The statement noted that most of them tried to reach the United States through Mexico.

Uzbek migrants complained about conditions in temporary detention centers and cases of extortion to which they were subjected by the police.

The Uzbek authorities indicated that there had been a significant increase in attempts to emigrate illegal Uzbeks to the United States via Turkey, the CIS countries, South America, and Mexico.

California : The court blocks a law restricting the carrying of weapons in public places

The Los Angeles Times reported that a federal court in California blocked a law restricting the carrying of weapons in public places as a violation of the US Constitution.

The newspaper reported that California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a law last September tightening the rules for carrying weapons in public places in the state.

She wrote: “The California law prohibiting licensed gun holders from entering a wide range of public places will not go into effect on January 1, after the California federal court deemed it unconstitutional.”

Combating what US President Joe Biden called the “epidemic of gun violence” is a declared priority for his administration, but there has been no significant progress in achieving it.

Data from the Gun Violence Archive organization indicate that 520 shooting incidents have occurred in the United States since the beginning of this year, resulting in the deaths of more than 12,000 people and the injury of more than 25,000 others.

Gallup conducted an opinion poll indicating that about 40% of Americans are concerned about the security of their children in schools, despite the measures taken by the authorities to prevent repeated shooting incidents in schools and universities.
