The European Football Association (UEFA) announced that it intends to allocate 331 million euros for the total prize money for the 24 teams participating in the 2024 European Nations Championship for Men.
The financial prizes allocated to the teams in the next edition of the tournament are in line with the prizes of the “Euro 2020” tournament, and are 20 times more than the prizes allocated to the “Euro 2022” tournament for women.
The National Football Association that wins Euro 2024 can receive a maximum of 28.25 million euros.
Each participating team will receive no less than 9.25 million euros in the tournament, which lasts for a month and is held in Germany and begins on June 14.
The tournament is expected to generate around €2.4 billion in commercial revenue.
Football fans are awaiting the drawing of the draw for the 2024 European Cup finals this Saturday evening in Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany.
