The Nicaraguan Foreign Minister arrives in Ramallah after 24 hours of travel to denounce the Israeli "brutal aggression."

Nicaragua announced on Tuesday that its Foreign Minister, Dennis Moncada, arrived in the West Bank to express the solidarity of the government of President Daniel Ortega with the Palestinian people in the face of the "brutal aggression" of Israel.
Rosario Murillo, who simultaneously holds the positions of First Lady, Vice President and government spokeswoman, told official media that the Foreign Minister "arrived in the city of Ramallah, in heroic Palestine, after more than 24 hours of travel."

She added, "The mission of our minister, entrusted to him by our leader, is to convey, in the name of our people and our government, our fraternal and militant solidarity" with the Palestinian people.

She confirmed that Moncada will meet in Ramallah with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Nicaragua supports the recognition of the State of Palestine, and has opened an embassy in Ramallah, where the Palestinian Authority is based.

But Managua also maintains diplomatic relations with Israel, which were resumed in 2017 after being cut off for seven years.
