This year, 2023, is the 90th anniversary of the East Turkistan Islamic Republic, which was founded in Kashgar in 1933. The two East Turkistan republics in history are recorded by Uighurs abroad and Uighur organizations in various ways.

This year, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the East Turkistan Islamic Republic and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the book "Islamic Republic of East Turkistan" was published by Teklimakan Uyghur Publishing House in Istanbul. The publication of this book was included in the 2023 work plan of the World Uyghur Congress, and the head of Teklimakan Publishing House in Istanbul, Mr. Abdujelil Turan, was responsible for this.

This book titled "Eastern Islamic Turkistan Republic" (1933-1934) prepared for publication by Mr. Abdul Jalil Turan was published on the occasion of this year's Republic Day. This book includes historical memoirs and large-scale essays about the East Turkistan Revolution in the 1930s and the East Turkistan Islamic Republic established as a result. Answering our questions about this book, the president of the World Uyghur Congress, Mr. Sang Isa, spoke about the purpose of publishing this book and said: "The purpose of publishing this book is to enlighten our future generations about our past history, that is, we founded a republic 90 years ago; At that time, there were very few republican countries in the world. More precisely, it is to explain to our people that the Uyghur people are a nation with a democratic consciousness and convey it to our future generations.

Mr. Abdujalil Turan, the head of Teklimakan Uyghur Publishing House, who prepared this book for publication, received our interview and said about the content of this book: "This book contains the memories of the great people and veteran revolutionaries who directly participated in the East Turkistan Revolution or who witnessed the revolution at the time; The famous Uzbek historian Baymirza Hait's article titled "Eastern Turkistan: The National Vision of the Turkic Nation Against Enemy Powers"; In addition, selected parts of books such as ``History of the Country'', ``History of Turkistan'' and ``Tragedy of Turkistan'' related to the Islamic Republic of East Turkistan are included. Since the memories included in this book are about the East Turkistan Revolution and the East Turkistan Islamic Republic, written by separate authors, there are some repetitions in them, but we have faithfully published these historical memories in accordance with the principle of faithfulness without shortening or changing them.

The President of the Republic of China, Mr. Wang Isa, said that 2024 will be the 80th anniversary of the East Turkistan Republic, which was founded in 1944; In this regard, he stressed that he will publish special books and organize various record-keeping activities, especially the publication of such historical books.
