Texas Supreme Court bars woman from emergency abortion

The Supreme Court in Texas in the United States decided to prohibit emergency abortion for a pregnant woman whose fetus was found to be non-viable.

Denial of abortion threatens women with long-term health problems!
The ruling came after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a petition with the Supreme Court to prevent Kate Cox, 31, from terminating her pregnancy after obtaining the approval of the district judge for this procedure.

Earlier, the US Supreme Court issued a decision to temporarily maintain the use of abortion pills that are widespread in the country, suspending with its decision the restrictions imposed by lower courts, which gives advocates of the right to abortion some time.

A conservative federal judge appointed by former US President Donald Trump in Texas banned women from receiving the drug "mifepristone" in the United States based on a complaint filed by anti-abortion activists.

More than 5 million American women have taken mifepristone since the Food and Drug Administration approved it more than 20 years ago.
