Slutsky: A meeting of the heads of parliaments of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and China in 2024

Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee Leonid Slutsky said that a meeting of the heads of parliaments of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and China will be held in early 2024.

Slutsky, who leads the Russian Liberal Democratic Party, indicated that the discussion during the meeting will focus on combating international terrorism and developing cooperation between the regions in these countries.

Slutsky added, in his speech during the plenary session of the State Duma: “At the beginning of next year, the traditional meeting of the heads of the parliaments of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and China will be held on combating international terrorism and developing cooperation between the regions.”

Slutsky also stressed that “work will later be resumed within the framework of the International Forum for the Development of Parliamentarism, which is already one of the most comprehensive parliamentary forums on the planet.”

Iran : 12 policemen were killed in an attack on the police headquarters in the south of the country

Twelve Iranian policemen were killed on Friday night in an attack on the police headquarters in the city of Rask in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

 The security assistant to the governor of Sistan and Baluchestan in Iran said that the attack on the police headquarters occurred at midnight last Thursday by elements affiliated with the “Army of Injustice Terrorist” organization.

The spokesman confirmed that the situation is now under control.

According to the "IRNA" agency, Iran has adopted the “Army of Injustice” organization. The terrorist attack on the headquarters of the Internal Security Forces in the city of Rask in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

The Deputy Governor, Ali Reza Rahmati, explained, “During the terrorist attack on the police headquarters in the city of Rusk, 11 policemen were killed and others were injured.”

Official media added that “a number of members of the extremist Jaish al-Adl group were also killed in clashes that followed the attack in the city of Rusk.”
