The President of the Russian League, Alexander Aliyev, announced that the Russian Winter Cup football competition will be held from February 1 to 15 in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi.
Aliyev said: “We are completing work on preparations for the Russian Winter Cup and are still waiting for the confirmation of one foreign team.”
He continued: "When we decide, we will officially announce the participating teams and the schedule. Now I can say that the tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi from February 1 to 15."
On October 23, the President of the Russian League confirmed that four teams would participate in the tournament, including foreign teams.
It is noteworthy that the city of Abu Dhabi previously hosted the event last year from February 2 to 11, 2023, and the following clubs participated at that time: Spartak Moscow, Rostov, Krasnodar and Sochi, and the winner of the friendly competition was Spartak.
