“Go to hell!” Musk delivers a “severe rebuke” to those boycotting the advertisement on X

Elon Musk said on Wednesday that anyone who tries to pressure Company
New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin asked Musk at the DealBook Summit on Wednesday whether his recent trip to Israel was an "apology tour" prompted by anti-Semitism allegations on X that have prompted several major advertisers to leave the platform.

Musk responded by saying: "I hope they stop. Don't advertise. If someone is going to try to blackmail me with ads, or blackmail me with money? To hell with it."

Musk bought Twitter last year for an estimated $44 billion, objecting to the censorship imposed on the platform. Since then, he has rebranded as X, fired many employees, and unbanned many accounts in the name of promoting freedom of expression.

Earlier this month, several major companies pulled their ads from X, following a report by advocacy group Media Matters for America (MMFA) that claimed the platform ran them with "pro-Nazi" and "anti-Semitic" content.

Company X responded by publishing an analysis showing that Media Matters manipulated its algorithms with fake accounts to falsify its claims. Musk filed a lawsuit against the Democratic-linked operation.

Musk visited Israel last Monday, and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. Netanyahu lectured Musk about Hamas' "death cult," while Herzog insisted that X must crack down on "Jewish hatred."

Musk also visited the settlement near Gaza that was attacked on October 7, and was shown a 44-minute film prepared by Israel to highlight the atrocities committed by Hamas.

After Netanyahu compared Israeli military activities in Gaza to what the Allies had to do with Germany and Japan in World War II, Musk agreed on the need to "eliminate terrorists and those who intend to kill," but said Israel must "help what's left, which is what happened." In Germany and Japan.

On Tuesday, Hamas issued a public invitation for Musk to visit Gaza, in the interests of “objectivity and credibility.” “It seems a bit dangerous right now,” he responded.
