American billionaire Elon Musk demanded that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky explain the arrest of American citizen Gonzalo Lira.
In response to the statement of American journalist Tucker Carlson that Gonzalo Lira has been tortured in a Ukrainian prison since last July for criticizing Zelensky, and Biden agrees with this, Musk wrote on his page on the X platform: “After we provided $100 billion to Ukraine, they imprisoned an American citizen? Maybe The problem is not that he criticized Zelensky, but if it is limited to that, we will face great difficulties.”
Carlson called on Zelensky to explain to the American people the reason for the arrest of the American citizen.
At the beginning of last May, the Ukrainian Security Service reported the arrest of a foreign blogger.
The Ukrainian newspaper "Strana" wrote that the talk was most likely about American citizen Gonzalo Lira.
Lira was born in the United States and holds Chilean citizenship. In videos spread on social media, Lira criticized NATO, the administration of US President Joe Biden, and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
