US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he might not have run again for president if his predecessor Donald Trump, who "cannot be allowed to win," had not taken this step.
Biden said in a press conference in Boston: “If Trump had not run, I am not sure I would have run. But we cannot allow him to win.”
Trump has previously been officially registered as one of the candidates for the presidency of the United States. He is the Republican politician who is considered by the most prominent media and analysts to be the main competitor to the current president in the next presidential race in 2024.
For her part, former member of the Republican Party in Congress, Liz Cheney, said that she is studying the possibility of participating in the presidential elections as an independent candidate in order to prevent Donald Trump from returning to the White House.
