The military spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, Abu Hamza, announced that the clashes with the Israeli army and the ambushes in the Gaza Strip are still at their peak on all fronts of the fighting.
Abu Hamza said in a series of blog posts on “Telegram”: “We reassure our people that the Al-Quds and Resistance Brigades are still doing well and that the mujahideen on the battlefields are present with God’s help and strength to repel the enemy and his hateful columns of tanks. He added: "We emphasize the steadfastness and readiness of our fighters on the field on all axes in Gaza, pride and steadfastness, and that what was issued by the media from the heroes of the Al-Quds Brigades is only a small part of what the enemy expects from the engagement of our fighters, and that clashes and ambushes are still at their peak on all axes." He continued: "We announce, with the help of God Almighty, the destruction of a number of enemy vehicles and its defeated army with appropriate fire means in the axes of advance east of Khan Yunis, Al-Qarara and east of Gaza City, and we confirm that our mujahideen inflicted certain casualties among the ranks of enemy soldiers."
The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades also announced that its fighters had engaged in violent clashes with Israeli forces since Tuesday morning and were able to inflict heavy losses in lives and equipment.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, is likely to make Israel pay a greater price than it paid in the north, calling for lowering expectations regarding the military operation.
For his part, Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee said, through his account on the “X” platform: “ We are located in the heart of the Khan Yunis region , witnessing the most intense days since the start of the ground maneuver in terms of the number of terrorists killed, the number of clashes and gunfire on the ground and in the air.”
