A doctor identifies the symptoms of measles

According to Dr. Oleg Abakumov, an evidence-based medicine specialist, symptoms of measles are high fever, photophobia, sore throat, cough, and uneven white patches on the cheeks.

The specialist points out that measles is an infectious disease that is transmitted quickly through the air and causes a person to suffer from fever, respiratory infections, conjunctivitis, and spots. Stopping its spread is difficult.

He says: “The infected person becomes contagious within 10-12 days, and taking medications will not help, only vaccination.”

Opponents of vaccination believe that people must get measles. But this infection may lead to death for some and complications for others.

According to him, at first the infected person's temperature rises to 40 degrees, his eyes cannot stand the light, sore throat and cough appear, and after two days, uneven white spots appear on the cheeks, and only after that a rash appears, which disappears after four days, leaving brown spots.

Abakumov warns of the danger of this disease for children and pregnant women, because it can cause miscarriage, premature birth, or even birth defects of the fetus inside the womb.

He says: “If a person has been in contact with a patient and does not have immunity, he must get the vaccination within 72 hours. But the vaccine cannot be given in the event of complications from a previous illness, malignant diseases, allergy to its components, or pregnancy.”
