The White House is developing a strategy against "Islamophobia" amid skepticism from American Muslims

The administration of US President Joe Biden is preparing to announce its intention to develop a national strategy to combat Islamophobia, according to the Associated Press.
The agency explained that this step comes as the Biden administration faces skepticism from many in the American Muslim community, due to its strong support for Israeli military operations in Gaza.

Three people told the Associated Press that the White House announcement was originally expected to be issued last week, when Biden held a meeting with Muslim community leaders, but the announcement was postponed.

Two of the three said the postponement was partly due to the American Muslim community's concerns about the administration's lack of credibility on the issue given its strong support for the Israeli military, whose strikes have killed thousands of civilians in Gaza.

Incidents of hatred towards Muslims have increased in the United States, and one of the most prominent of these incidents was the attack that resulted in the killing of Wadih Al-Fayoum (6 years old) and the injury of his mother in an attack that the prosecution says was motivated by Islamophobia.

The United States: official warnings of growing threats against Jews, Arabs and Muslims

US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the increase in threats against American Jews, Muslims, and citizens of Arab origin, noting that this has been observed in recent weeks.
CNN quoted Garland's uncle as saying that "no individual or community in the state should live in fear of violence fueled by feelings of hatred."

According to him, there has been a "significant increase" in the "volume and frequency" of such threats in recent weeks.

The Attorney General added to CNN: “The Department of Justice does not tolerate violence or unlawful threats of violence when fueled by anti-Semitism or Islamophobia.”

He added: "I want to reiterate the basic principle of the Department of Justice: No person or community in our country should live in fear of violence fueled by hate."

It should be noted that the FBI previously warned US residents of increasing threats against Jews and Arabs, as well as potential crimes amid the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

It should be noted that French Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne pledged yesterday, Tuesday, to wage a “relentless war” against what she called “the rise of anti-Semitic sentiments ,” after graffiti was found in the capital, Paris.

For his part, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said that the French authorities had recorded 857 anti-Semitic acts since October 7.

In addition, Israel accused the London-based human rights organization Amnesty International of "anti-Semitism and bias against the Jewish state."

As for Germany, an opinion poll for the German newspaper Bild revealed that more than 61% of Germans were in favor of stopping receiving immigrants from Islamic countries, and almost the same percentage expressed their fear of demonstrating against Israel.
