The profits of Zoom, the online video conferencing platform, increased during the third quarter

San Jose: The American online video conferencing platform company Zoom announced on Monday evening that it achieved results exceeding estimates during the third quarter of the current year thanks to the growth of its corporate customer base.

The company reported that its revenues during the third quarter increased by 3.2% annually to $1.14 billion, while analysts' average expectations were $1.12 billion. The company's quarterly profits also increased to $141.2 million, compared to profits of $48.35 million during the third quarter of last year.

Zoom recorded tremendous growth in its user base during the years of the new Corona virus pandemic in 2020 and 2021, as companies and educational institutions expanded their work or learning systems from home.

After that, the pace of growth returned to normal levels, while Zoom succeeded in defending its position in the market against competitors such as the Teams platform of the American software empire Microsoft, by focusing on serving corporate and institutional clients.

The White House launched its official account on Threads, in addition to official accounts for the President, the First Lady, the Vice President, and her husband. White House spokeswoman Robin Patterson said that the reason for this step is “because we are committed to communicating with people wherever they are.”

The White House's decision to join Threads, which is controlled by Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg, strengthens the platform's credibility.

This also comes at a time when some famous public figures are announcing that they will completely transfer their personal accounts from the X platform to Threads, saying that Musk’s behavior is the motivation behind this move.
