Tashkent, Arbash participates in the activities of the Forum of Scholars of the Turkic States Organization

The head of religious affairs, Ali Erbaş, expressed his happiness to participate in the Forum of Turkic States Scholars in Tashkent, and called on the participants and all Islamic countries to produce knowledge that solves the problems of the era.

On Saturday, the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, hosted the Forum of Turkic States Organization Scholars.

The head of religious affairs, Ali Erbaş, participated in the forum on behalf of Türkiye.

In his speech at the forum, which was called “Maturid and Present Education,” Arbash expressed his happiness at attending the forum and visiting friendly and brotherly Uzbekistan.

He said that Uzbekistan and Central Asia have embraced, over the ages, many scholars, wise men, thinkers and enlightened people, such as Al-Biruni, Ibn Sina, Ali Qushjo and Ulugbay, Imams Al-Bukhari and Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Mu’in Al-Nasafi, Shams Al-Imam Al-Sarkhasi, and Bahaa Al-Din Al-Naqshbandi.

He pointed out that Islamic civilization is a civilization of knowledge, science and wisdom, saying: “During the periods in which Muslims built life and society on the basis of the Qur’an and Sunnah, the earth was in a better position for all people in terms of peace and security.”

Arbash believed that putting Muslims at a distance from the messages and principles that Islam brought during the past few centuries is one of the main reasons for the negative situation that Muslims are experiencing in this period.

According to the Turkish official, artificial problems resulting from religious motives and regional and cultural differences have pushed Islamic societies to engage in absurd battles with each other for many years.

This situation exposed the Islamic world to the policies of colonialism and conquest of global imperialism, as the Islamic world went through difficult and turbulent times during wars and occupation, according to Arbash.

He also stressed that Muslims estranged from their roots and civilizational values have become weak and have become the target of brutal attacks and horrific massacres over the centuries.

In this context, the Turkish head of religious affairs called on Muslims to be self-criticism and take serious and radical accountability.

But he added that it is necessary not to give in to despair and pessimism, saying: “Praise be to God, we have the determination, faith, and civilization to solve all our problems.”

“Because we are followers of the last and most perfect Sharia that God Almighty has sent to us,” Erbaş explained.

He stressed that the light of the Qur’an and the Sunnah is sufficient to solve the great problems facing humanity and the Islamic world in particular.

He continued that it has become the duty of scholars, intellectuals, scholars, and religious bodies to produce knowledge that solves the problems of the era in light of the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the gains of civilization, and to present it for the benefit of humanity.

In addition to Arbash, the head of the Uzbek Muslim Administration, Grand Mufti Nur al-Din Khaliq Nazr, and the Secretary-General of the Turkic States Organization, Qobanich Bek Omar Aliyev, participated in the forum.

The Chairman of the Administration of the Muslims of Azerbaijan-Caucasus, Allah Shukur Pashazadeh, the Chairman of the Administration of the Muslims of Kazakhstan Nowruz Bey Taganuli, the Chairman of the Administration of the Council of Kyrgyz Muslim Scholars Abdulmanap Masaliyev, the General Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalqab Khoja Guliyev, and a large number of invitees also participated in the forum.

The Organization of Turkic States (formerly the Turkic Council) was established on October 3, 2009, and includes Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, while Hungary, Turkmenistan, and Turkish Northern Cyprus each hold observer member status.
