Musk visits a settlement on the Gaza Strip and an agreement is made not to activate “Starlink” services in Gaza without Israel’s approval.

Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Qarei said that he had reached a preliminary agreement with American businessman Elon Musk not to activate Starlink satellite Internet services in Gaza without Tel Aviv’s approval.
Qaari wrote on the “X” platform: “Elon Musk, I congratulate you on reaching a preliminary understanding with the Ministry of Communications under my leadership, and during your time in Israel, I hope that you will be able to gain valuable insight, and that it will serve as a starting point for future endeavors, as well as strengthening your relationship.” “With the Jewish people and the values that we share with the entire world.”

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated on the "X" platform that Netanyahu took Musk on a tour to Kibbutz Kfar Azza, one of the settlements that was stormed by Hamas fighters on October 7.

The office added that Netanyahu held a meeting with Musk in the Prime Minister’s Office in the Knesset, following their tour of Kibbutz Kfar Azza this morning.

Netanyahu showed Musk “clips from the film prepared by the Israeli army spokesman, which shows “the effects of the Hamas attack” on October 7th,” and then they held an expanded meeting on the security aspects of artificial intelligence.

Senior officials of the security establishment in the fields of artificial intelligence and cyber participated in the meeting.

Musk arrived in Tel Aviv on Monday for a visit during which he will meet with President Isaac Herzog.

Musk announced in late October that Starlink satellite communications services would be provided to internationally recognized organizations providing assistance in the Gaza Strip, but he retracted his promise after Israeli criticism.

He also promised  to donate income from his social network X  from content related to the conflict in the Gaza Strip to Israeli hospitals, an international humanitarian organization that provides medical assistance to Palestinians.

The Vatican confirms that the Pope is in “good and stable” condition after suffering from pneumonia

The Vatican announced that Pope Francis, who suffers from pneumonia, is in “good and stable” condition and is receiving intravenous antibiotic treatment, and will limit his activities during the next few days.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a statement that a CT scan conducted in a Rome hospital on Saturday ruled out pneumonia, but revealed inflammation in the pope's lungs, causing breathing difficulties.

He stressed that “the condition of the Pope (86 years old) is good and stable, and he does not suffer from fever and his respiratory condition is definitely improving,” noting that “in order to facilitate the Pope’s recovery, some important engagements that were scheduled for these days have been postponed so that he can devote his time and energy to recovery.” .

The Vatican later said the pope had gone ahead with the scheduled interview with Paraguayan President Santiago Peña Palacios at the Vatican guest house, where the pope lives in a set of rooms.

The meeting of heads of state usually takes place in the Apostolic Palace, a separate building on the Vatican grounds.

The Pope is scheduled to travel to Dubai on Friday to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Bruni's statement did not mention the flight, which seemed to indicate that it was still on.

The Amsterdam Museum hands over “Scythian gold” belonging to the Crimean heritage to Kiev

The Allard Pearson Museum in Amsterdam announced that it has transferred the “Scythian Gold Collection” belonging to the heritage of the Crimean Peninsula to Kiev.
A statement published by the museum said: “All remaining artifacts from the exhibition “Crimea - Gold and the Secrets of the Black Sea” were transferred from the Allard Pearson Museum to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in Kiev.”

It is noteworthy that this golden collection has been on display in the Netherlands since 2014, in the Archaeological Museum of the University of Amsterdam under the title “Crimea - a golden island in the Black Sea.”

The Ukrainian Ministry added that the Dutch Museum will not charge the Kiev authorities the cost of storing the exhibits for nine years.

In 2013, four Crimean museums, when the peninsula belonged to Ukraine, sent the exhibition “Crimea – The Golden Island of the Black Sea” to Bonn, and then to Amsterdam.

After the return of Crimea to Russia in 2014, the Netherlands faced the problem of who should return the group to it. On October 26, 2021, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal decided to transfer the Scythian gold collection to Ukraine.

In January 2022, the Crimean Museums sent a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, but the court upheld the decision.

The Russian Foreign Ministry denounced the court's decision in the Netherlands regarding the handover of the archaeological "Scythian Gold" collection to Ukraine, and considered it "biased and creates a dangerous precedent that will not go unanswered."
