“It is not Egypt’s decision.” A minister hints at the real decision maker regarding patients crossing from Gaza to receive treatment

The Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, confirmed that the decision to obtain large numbers of injured and diseased cases from the Gaza Strip is not Egypt’s decision, and that it is a decision in the hands of certain authorities.
Minister Abdel Ghaffar said in an interview with CNN, in response to a question about the reasons for “not receiving a larger number of injured people in the Gaza Strip for treatment in Egyptian hospitals,” and “who has the decision on that”: “It is not Egypt’s decision. I do not know.” Whose decision is it, but certainly there is someone who must examine these injured people in order to give the decision and permit them to leave the Gaza Strip and cross to the Egyptian side.”

The minister stressed that "our team and crews remain on alert day and night in order to receive any case and deal with it immediately."

When asked whether Israel has the final say on the exit of Palestinian patients, the Egyptian Minister of Health replied: “I have no information to tell you in this regard, but certainly there are certain authorities on the other side to make the decision about who will leave there.”

He described the injuries suffered by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as “against humanity,” stressing the patient’s right to treatment and life.

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif confirmed earlier today, Saturday, that “the silent world and the Arab and Islamic nations did not present anything that would whiten the faces of God regarding the Palestinians and in the records of history.”

In turn, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, said that the Israeli army is committing “genocide against the entire health sector” in the Gaza Strip.

In a press conference, today, Saturday, at the ministry’s headquarters in Ramallah, she called on “the United Nations, international health organizations, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to put pressure on Israel in order to allow the transfer of premature babies and the remaining patients in Al-Shifa Hospital to hospitals in the West Bank, or to the Arab Republic of Egypt.” To receive their treatment among their people and siblings.”

She explained that "26 hospitals out of 35 have completely stopped and gone out of service in the Gaza Strip, and are unable to provide their services to the wounded, either because they were directly targeted, or because they ran out of fuel, and the power was cut off from them. 9 of them contain 1,200 beds and are partially operating." and provides basic services.

Amnesty International: More than a third of the victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip are children

Amnesty International said that more than a third of the victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip are children, while countless victims remain under the rubble.
The organization added, in a series of blog posts on the “X” platform, on Saturday, that “millions more in Gaza face more displacement, destruction of property, and suffering.”

In a separate blog post, Amnesty International called on people to sign “a petition calling for an immediate ceasefire, by all parties, to put an end to the bloodshed of civilians, and to ensure humanitarian access to Gaza.”

A few days ago, more than a million people around the world signed an Amnesty International petition demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The organization appealed to activists to continue to sign the petition, and also urged European Union leaders to call for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians.

In turn, the government media office in Gaza announced that the Israeli attack on the Strip has so far resulted in 12,300 victims, including 5,000 children and 3,300 women.

For their part, United Nations experts stressed that the Israeli war in Gaza could escalate into genocide against the Palestinians, and the international community must take urgent measures to ensure a ceasefire.
