Hyderabad : A major accident occurred on Monday (20 November) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Due to a massive fire at a port of Vizag Port Trust (Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour), 35 mechanized fishing boats parked here were burnt to ashes. According to initial information, it is being said that the fire broke out at the port due to a fight between a YouTuber and some people. Now the police is also interrogating this YouTuber to get to the bottom of the cause of the fire.
According to police sources, this YouTuber had made a video of fishing from the port, which received a good response. Police sources have said that the YouTuber had a fight with some people over a money dispute. It is possible that his rivals may have set fire to his boat parked in the harbour. The fire started late on Sunday night, which continued till the early hours of Monday. A video of this entire incident has also surfaced, in which boats can be seen burning.

After the fire, the local fishermen present at the port immediately called the local police and informed about the incident. Fishermen said that the fire started from one boat, which soon spread to other boats. The fire spread so quickly because other boats were anchored around the boat that caught fire. This helped the fire spread rapidly. Most of the boats were made of wood or had plastic in them, due to which the fire spread further.
Some people were partying in the boat.
Visakhapatnam's ADGP Law and Order Ravi Shankar said that some children were present late in the night in the boat which first caught fire. Maybe they were partying. Meanwhile, some sailors came and removed the anchor of the boat and let it go into the sea. However, the tank of the boat was filled with diesel and gas cylinders were kept. That's why the boat caught fire. Within no time it engulfed other boats.

The cost of one boat is around Rs 15 lakh
According to local officials, the cost of each boat is Rs 15 lakh. The total amount of loss due to this comes to about Rs 5 crore. Most of these fishermen had not insured their boats.

What do the police say?
Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Ravi Shankar has said that investigation is being done from many aspects to get to the bottom of the incident. The fishing port belongs to Vizag Port Trust. Therefore, port, fisheries and police officials will be involved in the investigation.
