Ferrari brings a special livery design for the Las Vegas GP

Jakarta  - The Ferrari factory team will bring a special livery design to the Las Vegas Grand Prix which will take place on the Las Vegas Street Circuit this weekend.

Quoted from the official statement, Tuesday, Ferrari still carries its trademark red color on the SF-23 car which is combined with a few white design elements.

Apart from that, the racing suits and helmets worn by their two drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, were also given the same design to celebrate Ferrari's appearance as it was in the 70s.

With Formula 1's return to Las Vegas fast approaching, the Italian team's design reflects the sport's first “golden age” in the United States, where Ferrari enjoyed some of the most memorable moments in its history.

Legendary racer Niki Lauda won two world titles at that time, in 1975 and 1977 to be precise. Apart from that, Clay Regazzoni also won in 1976, while Carlos Reutemann won in 1978. Further success followed in 1979 when Gilles Villeneuve scored two wins in Long Beach and Watkins Glen, United States.

Throughout the decade, there was a lot of white alongside Ferrari's signature red in its livery and the team decided to repeat that for this year's Las Vegas Grand Prix.

As well as Leclerc and Sainz's helmets and racing suits following the look, Ferrari partner Puma has also produced new team kit specifically for the race.

The exciting spectacle of the Las Vegas Grand Prix will present unique challenges for all F1 teams as they attempt to master a new track and a backdrop unlike any other.

The first practice will take place on Thursday (16/11) at 20.30 local time with qualifying starting at 00.00 local time on Saturday (18/11). Meanwhile, the main race will be held on Saturday night at 22.00 local time.

Euro 2024 qualifiers: Locatelli excluded from the Italy squad in two fateful matches

Italy will play its final two crucial matches in the European Cup 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia and Ukraine on the 17th and 20th of this month without Manuel Locatelli, who withdrew from the squad.
The Italian national team coach, Luciano Spalletti, said in a press conference, “Locatelli has returned” to his team, without specifying the type of injury suffered by the Juventus midfielder, who has played 26 matches in the colors of the European champions so far.

Locatelli thus joined Milan captain Davide Calabria, Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret and Atalanta defender Rafael Tolui, who were also forced to withdraw from the national team squad after the twelfth stage of the local league.

Yesterday, Monday, Spalletti decided to use Lazio defender Manuel Lazzari (3 international matches) by including him in a squad whose number has now reached 26 players, after it was 29 last Friday when it was revealed.

Spalletti said that midfielder Jorginho, who returned to the national team for the first time since June, injured his head while participating last weekend with his team, Arsenal, in the English Premier League, and “we have to be careful, but we will need him.”

The Italian team, which occupies third place in Group C of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with 10 points, will host North Macedonia in the capital, Rome, on the 17th of this month, and three days later, Ukraine in the German city of Leverkusen.

Italy, which is 6 points behind leaders England and has secured its ticket to the finals, must score four points in its last two matches in order to obtain the second card in the group, otherwise it will be forced to enter the European Nations League playoff, for which three teams qualify.

Salah and the African stars begin a long journey to reach the 2026 World Cup match schedule and qualification system

Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Moroccan national team, the fourth World Cup in Qatar, and the rest of the African continent’s stars this week begin a qualifying journey for the 2026 World Cup, through which nine teams will qualify directly to the World Cup.

The 54 teams (before Eritrea's withdrawal) were divided into nine groups of six teams, with the winner of each group qualifying directly to the expanded finals, which will include 48 teams instead of 32.

As for the four best teams that occupy second place in their group, the team that qualifies from them will compete in a continental play-off, with five teams in an international play-off to ensure a possible additional seat in the World Cup scheduled for the United States, Canada and Mexico.
