American billionaire Elon Musk responded to the demands for satellite Internet “Starlink” to reach Gaza after the hashtag “starlink for gaza” topped the social media platforms.
Elon Musk said in a blog post on the “X” platform that “Starlink” will provide internet services to internationally recognized relief organizations in the Gaza Strip.
The announcement came in response to a blog post published by Danish doctor Anastasia Maria Lopez, in which she said, “Gaza is being bombed, the Internet and communications are cut off, They need StarLink immediately,” and in which she referred to Musk.
Musk stated in his response, "No station from Gaza attempted to communicate with our group. SpaceX will support establishing communication with internationally recognized relief organizations."
The doctor insisted on her request, saying, "Check this out. There are people who are suffering and cannot tell the world what they are going through."
In a second blog post in which he responded to Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Musk confirmed that Starlink will provide internet services to internationally recognized relief organizations in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Ishaq Sidr, said that coordination is currently underway with international bodies to obtain “Starlink” services for communication with the Gaza Strip .
The minister added in a press statement, "We asked Egypt to strengthen broadcast networks after Israel cut off communications in Gaza."
On Friday, the Palestinian cellular communications company "Jawwal" announced a complete cessation of all communications and Internet services with the Gaza Strip and its isolation from the world, after intense Israeli attacks.
Activists on social media called on the CEO of the “X” platform (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, to provide communications and the Internet to the Gaza Strip after it was completely cut off due to Israel’s raids, and they launched the hashtag “Starlink for Gaza.”
The Israeli army has continued to bomb the Gaza Strip since the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” launched by Hamas. It expanded its ground attack on Friday and intensified its raids on all axes.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the imposition of sanctions on 8 individuals and 4 entities due to their ties to the Palestinian Hamas movement and other organizations classified as “terrorist.”
Blinken said in a post on his official account on the “X” platform yesterday, Friday: “We are imposing sanctions on 8 individuals with ties to Hamas, including those who played key roles in facilitating the evasion of the movement’s companies from sanctions.”
He continued: "In addition to imposing sanctions on 4 entities due to their ties to Hamas and other designated terrorist organizations."
Blinken did not reveal the names of the individuals and entities on which the US administration imposed these sanctions.
