Lamine Kamara scores a historic goal in the French League

Senegalese Lamine Camara scored one of the most beautiful goals in the history of the French Football League during his team's match between Metz and its host Monaco on Sunday at the end of the ninth stage of the competition.
Kamara scored the first goal for Metz in the fourth minute, with a powerful shot from 58 meters away, but the ball deceived the Monaco goalkeeper, who was ahead of his goal, and landed in his net.

Unfortunately for the Senegalese player, his team did not maintain its lead, as it conceded two goals in the 42nd and 55th minutes, from Russian Alexander Golovin, as Metz lost the match 1-2.

This victory is the third in a row for Monaco, after it had beaten Marseille 3-2 and Reims 3-1 before the international window.

Monaco thus regained the top spot in the league standings after raising its score to 20 points, one point ahead of Nice, who won over Marseille 1-0 yesterday, Saturday, and two points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, the defending champion, who swept its guest Strasbourg 3-0 on the same day.

The first suspension for Argentine world champion Gomez after being suspended for two years due to doping

Argentine striker Papu Gomez denied on Sunday that he was using stimulants, despite being suspended for two years due to his failure in a test he underwent while he was playing for Seville, Spain, before moving to Monza, Italy.
Gomez, who won the Qatar 2022 World Cup with Argentina, was suspended last Friday after testing positive for terbutaline in October last year.

Gomez, who signed with Monza on a free transfer last month and played only two matches in its ranks before being suspended, was defending the colors of the Spanish club Sevilla when he was tested.

Gomez said on his Instagram page on Sunday: “I have never used, and had no intention of using, doping methods.”

Gomez and his team claim Monza forcibly ingested the banned substance as part of his son's cough syrup.

“It should be noted that the therapeutic use of terbutaline is permitted for professional athletes, and in no way leads to improved athletic performance,” the 35-year-old striker added, stressing that there may be legal proceedings because he believes his case was not dealt with in accordance with the laws.

Gomez spent most of his career in Italy, where he moved between several clubs, most notably Atalanta, between 2014 and 2021.

Bagnaia is satisfied with the results of the Australian Grand Prix

Jakarta : Ducati racer Fransesco "Pecco" Bagnaia is satisfied with the results obtained at the Australian Grand Prix MotoGP event which took place at the Phillip Island Circuit.

Even though he finished in second place behind Johan Zarco, Pecco was satisfied because tire adaptation was required throughout the race and he managed to overcome it.

"I'm very happy, it was a difficult weekend but every time we recovered, and once again we finished at the front. This was a race where I had to be calm because I knew the soft tire wouldn't last long and in the end everything was perfect," said Bagnaia reported by an official statement, Monday.

Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin led for 26 of the 27 laps, finding himself losing grip and being overtaken by Johan Zarco, Bagnaia and Di Giannantonio. Johan Zarco did not let go of the top position from Bagnaia who was stalking in second place and closed the race with a 0.201 second advantage over Pecco.

This victory puts Zarco in fifth place in the 2023 MotoGP standings with 187 points. Meanwhile, in the top two positions, Bagnaia who reached the podium and Martin who left the podium pushed the defending champion away. Bagnaia collected 366 points, 27 points away from Martin in second place.

"Points are always fundamental, now we have 27 points on Martin, things can change very quickly so we have to be very careful and understand perfectly what is happening. There are four and a half races left, so it is important to remain constant at all times." said the racer from Italy.

Meanwhile, Ducati racer Enea Bastianani, who finished in 11th place, was dissatisfied with the results because he had difficulty controlling the grip of his motorbike in the last ten laps.

"I can't be happy, that's for sure. Today went worse, in the sense that there was more grip on the track than yesterday, and I struggled more. It's difficult to ride like this because I couldn't turn. Obviously, we do well when there is less grip, so we will look at the data carefully to understand why I drove better in the last ten laps compared to the first laps when the tires should have made a difference," said Bastianani.

Due to bad weather the Australian MotoGP sprint race was cancelled. The next 2023 MotoGP will be held at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand, on 27-29 October. The following are
