On Monday, for the 24th day in a row, the Israeli occupation army continues to launch raids with warplanes, artillery, and gunboats in various parts of the Gaza Strip, focusing on the north.

Local sources confirmed to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) that "the occupation warplanes bombed several areas in Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, coinciding with the complete disconnection of communications and the Internet from this area."

She explained, "The occupation warplanes, with artillery support, launched a series of violent raids east of Beit Lahia and east of Jabalia, in light of the slow movement of military vehicles in the northeastern area of ​​the Gaza Strip."

The warplanes launched several raids in the Al-Nasr neighborhood and Al-Jalaa Street, northwest of Gaza, and artillery bombed the East Al-Maghazi area in the middle of the Strip and east of Khan Yunis, according to Wafa.

It also launched several raids on the home of the Abu Sido family in central Khan Yunis, and two homes east of Rafah and west of Rafah, which led to the death of a number of Palestinians and the injury of dozens.

Israeli air strikes also hit areas near Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals, while Palestinian militants clashed with Israeli forces in a border area east of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian officials said that about 50,000 people had taken refuge in Al-Shifa Hospital, adding that they were concerned about ongoing Israeli threats to the facility.

Call for a truce
The escalating Israeli attacks coincided with the escalation of international protests calling for a “humanitarian truce” to allow aid to enter.

An informed source said that the negotiations mediated by Qatar between Israel and Hamas continued yesterday, Sunday, and included discussions about the possible release of hostages.

The source, who requested anonymity, said that Hamas wants a five-day humanitarian truce from Israeli operations to allow aid and fuel to enter the besieged Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of all civilian hostages held by the movement.

The Israeli government says that more than half of the hostages held by Hamas hold foreign passports from 25 countries, including 54 Thai citizens.

Communication and internet outage
In this context, the Palestinian Telecommunications Company (Jawwal) Gaza Branch announced, on Sunday/Monday night, the interruption of communication and Internet services in various areas of the northern Gaza Strip following the breakdown of the main generator in the Sheikh Radwan area.

The company stated in a statement on the Facebook platform that, “In recent hours, various areas of the northern Gaza Strip have been exposed to an interruption in communication and Internet services due to the failure of the main generator in one of our main stations in the Sheikh Radwan area.”

She added: "We would like to clarify that since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, the fixed and cellular communications network and the Internet have been exposed to interruption and interference in services due to repeated damage to network elements as a result of the continuous bombing."

She continued: "Our crews monitor the network around the clock to fix any possible malfunctions and restore services to subscribers."

On Sunday, the company announced that communication and Internet services would gradually return to work in the Gaza Strip.

As of Sunday evening, 8,005 Palestinians were martyred, including 3,324 children, 2,062 women, and 460 elderly people, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza .

Hamas killed more than 1,400 Israelis and wounded 5,132, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health, and keeps 239 prisoners, according to the Israeli army, including high-ranking military personnel.
