European Commission: Turkey must choose between Europe and NATO and between Russia, Iran and Hamas

European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas said that Turkey must choose whether it will be with the European Union and NATO or with Russia, Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah.
Schinas said during the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern European Conference in Brussels, on Thursday, that “from the first moment (the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict), all 27 countries in the European Union unanimously recognized Israel’s right to defend itself, condemned the terrorist attack, and publicly affirmed that There is no justification for terrorism."

The European official continued, saying: “Turkey must choose on which side of history it wants to be: with us, the European Union, NATO, our values, and the morals of the West, or with Moscow, Tehran, Hamas, and Hezbollah,” adding that “the response must be "Very clear."

Schinas pointed out that Turkey is considered an essential partner for the stability of Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean region, especially in the areas of migration and trade.

Sukhinas criticized Ankara for not joining the policy of sanctions against Russia.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously announced that the Hamas movement is not solely responsible for the current escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, and considered that Israel's neglect of the rights of the Palestinians is what led to the escalation.

The Swiss Parliament calls on the government to suppress all pro-Palestine demonstrations

The largest party in the Swiss parliament, the Democratic Center Union, called on the country's government to "firmly suppress" all pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the country.
The party said in a statement: “The Democratic Center Union calls on the Federal Council (the Swiss government) and the competent cantonal authorities to impose an immediate ban and strict suppression of Palestinian demonstrations and other manifestations of solidarity (with the Palestinians).”

The party also calls on the government to stop all financial aid to Palestinian organizations so that Swiss taxpayer money is not used to “indirectly finance terrorism,” as they say.

The party also condemns that "Arab immigrants across Europe, including Switzerland, are cheering the massacre of Jewish children, teenagers, women and men in the wake of Hamas' barbaric terrorism against the civilian population of Israel."

A day before that, the Swiss government announced that it wanted to classify the Hamas movement as a terrorist organization, and was studying legal options for that, and the use of funds sent to the Palestinian Authority was being analysed.

The Democratic Center Union Party holds more than a quarter of the seats in Parliament and also has six seats out of 46 in the Senate. Of the seven ministers in the government, two represent the party.

Billionaire Ackman and company executives intend to deprive Harvard students of jobs for supporting Palestine

In a new position regarding the interaction of a statement by students at the prestigious Harvard University regarding the recent events in the Gaza Strip, American billionaire Bill Ackman stressed the necessity of revealing the names of these students and working to prevent them from being employed.
Last Tuesday, billionaire Ackman expressed his strong objection to the statement he described as controversial issued by a group of student organizations at Harvard University, which blames only Israel for causing Hamas to attack Israel in an operation dubbed the “Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Ackman called for the names of the students to be published in order to prevent them from being hired.

It is noteworthy that the aforementioned statement was drafted by a committee for solidarity with Palestine of Harvard University students last Saturday and carried the signatures of 33 university student organizations. It stated that Hamas’ military attack on Israel “did not come out of nowhere,” and the statement compared the Gaza Strip to an “open-air prison.” .

In turn, the Harvard Crimson, a student newspaper at Harvard University, reported that “the Israeli apartheid regime is solely responsible for what happened.”

The statement says Israel is "fully responsible" for the violence that began on Saturday, when Hamas activists crossed from Gaza into southern Israel.

Ackman, CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, wrote on the X platform that he had been contacted by “a number of CEOs” asking for the names of student organizations to ensure that “none of us inadvertently hire any of their members,” under the pretext that students “They should not be able to hide behind the shield of organizations when they issue statements supporting the actions of terrorists,” he said.

In turn, Axios reported that the CEOs of several companies are seeking to blacklist the names of the Harvard University students who signed a pro-Palestinian letter.

They are searching for the names of people in student organizations who signed a pro-Palestinian and critical of Israel letter.
