The British Ministry of Defense announced that the ships of the British military fleet were heading to the eastern Mediterranean to support Israel against the backdrop of the escalation around the Gaza Strip.
The ministry said in a post on “X” (formerly Twitter), on Tuesday, that “an operational group of the Royal Navy, including the Argus and Lyme Bay ships, left Gibraltar and headed to the eastern Mediterranean.”
He added that the aim of the British ships' movement is to "enhance stability in the region and provide options in anticipation of any emergency in the coming weeks."
