“Because of his famous phrase.” Israel launches a fierce attack on Guterres and calls on him to resign

The Israeli Foreign Ministry and Israel's representative to the United Nations launched a fierce attack on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, against the backdrop of his statements regarding Gaza.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry considered, in a statement on Wednesday, that Guterres’s speech in the Security Council was angering, surprising, and a disgrace to him and the United Nations.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry added, "Guterres' words reflect a biased and distorted position toward Israel and justify the heinous terrorism of October 7," calling on Guterres to retract his words and apologize after he harmed millions of Israelis.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen called on Guterres to resign from his position, considering that he is not qualified to lead the international organization.

Yesterday, the Secretary-General of the United Nations said in a Security Council session that Hamas’ attacks did not come out of nowhere in light of the suffering of the Palestinian people under the stifling Israeli occupation, and do not justify Israel’s mass killing.

For his part, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, attacked Guterres, saying that "the real humanitarian crisis is" the people who were kidnapped in the Gaza Strip.

Commenting on the debate, Arab activists commented that the words of the Secretary-General of the United Nations are testimony to what is happening in Gaza, while others saw it as a word of truth.

Shoigu asks the "East" forces: How has the enemy's behavior changed?

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu listened to the comments of the commanders of the Russian Group of Forces "East" about the changes they witnessed in the enemy's behavior.

A statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense, today, Wednesday, said: “Shoigu noted that during the past three to four weeks, many Ukrainian military personnel were captured, and many of them surrendered voluntarily, and they expose the bad psychological state in the Ukrainian forces units.

The statement added that during the meeting with soldiers from the Russian Forces Group "East", Shoigu also asked them about the extent to which the enemy's behavior had changed. The military responded: “They are in a state of panic, and we all know the ways to approach them, we know their movements and exits, and we strike them.”

One of the soldiers informed the minister about the capture of 4 Ukrainian soldiers yesterday, Tuesday, adding that all of these soldiers were living in the city of Lvov and were mobilized and “sent almost immediately to the front line.”
