He added: "From the moment it took off, it was completely tracked by our radars. All the radars in the south of the country followed these planes immediately."

These statements came days after the US Fifth Fleet announced the arrival of more than 3,000 American soldiers to the Red Sea on board two warships.

Biden's impeachment case the first Republican hearing in the US House of Representatives

Republicans in the US House of Representatives have begun the first formal impeachment hearing for President Joe Biden, explaining that they intend to "provide the basis for impeachment" as they make their case to skeptics in the Senate.

In the first session devoted to the impeachment investigation, the heads of the oversight and judicial committees are exploiting ways and means to review the constitutional and legal aspects related to the issue of impeachment, and are trying to show what they say is related to his son Hunter’s business activities abroad , despite the fact that key witnesses said that they “have not yet seen conclusive evidence of crimes.” requires isolation.

The Chairman of the Oversight Committee from Kentucky, Republican Representative James Comer, said in his opening statement that “Representatives have a mountain of evidence that will show that Joe Biden abused his public office for the financial gain of his family.”

He added that the committee will continue to "pursue the evidence to provide a basis for accountability" to the American people.

At the beginning of the session, the Democrats displayed a screen showing the days, hours and minutes remaining before the government shutdown , as Congress is making strenuous efforts to provide funding for the government before the deadline after Saturday.

The most senior Democratic member of the Oversight Committee, Representative Jamie Raskin, said: “We are sixty-two hours away from shutting down the government of the United States of America, and Republicans are launching a campaign to impeach the president based on a lie that was exposed and lost its credibility long ago.”

Raskin questioned the legitimacy of the hearing because the House of Representatives did not hold a vote to formally launch the impeachment inquiry .

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the opening of a formal investigation to hold Biden accountable earlier this month, indicating that it would focus on “allegations of abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption” by Biden, in relation to his family’s business dealings abroad .
