The Pakistan Army said in a statement on Tuesday that six 'smugglers' have been arrested in foiling a major smuggling operation by India .
A day before the announcement of the arrests, on Monday night, the Public Relations Department of the Army 'ISPR' had said in a statement that the Indian Army had violated the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control in Kashmir for three years. 60-year-old Ghiyas lost his life in 'unprovoked' firing in Nakyal sector.
On these recent events, Pakistani analysts say that India has been involved in smuggling and supporting militants in Pakistan in the past. While India has been making similar accusations against Pakistan and both countries have been denying these accusations.
Analysts believe that the ceasefire violation, increased smuggling and infiltration is an attempt by the Modi government to influence the 2024 elections by creating an atmosphere of war.
Action of Pakistan Rangers
ISPR said in a statement on Tuesday that Pakistan Rangers have foiled a major smuggling operation by India.
Pakistan Rangers have arrested six Indian nationals who allegedly entered Pakistan illegally on 22 August 2023 (ISPR).
According to the statement, six Indian smugglers have been arrested in infiltration attempts from July 29 to August 3. However, it was not clarified in which areas these arrests were made.
According to the statement of ISPR, 'The arrested Indian nationals are involved in drug and arms smuggling, among the arrested Indian nationals are Garmij Singh, Shindar Singh, Jaginder Singh and Vishal Singh, residents of Ferozepur, while Mahender Singh, a resident of Jalandhar and Ludhiana. Gurwinder Singh, a relative, has also been arrested.
A statement from the army's public relations department said that action will be taken against the arrested smugglers in accordance with Pakistani laws on illegal entry into Pakistan and anti-state activities.
"The unhindered movement of Indian smugglers across the BSF-monitored border is astonishing. A possible nexus of the Indian BSF with the smugglers is not far-fetched.'
The ISPR expects the BSF to make the border surveillance system effective and end nexus with smugglers.
So far, India has not responded to these arrests in Pakistan.

Modi government promoting extremism for elections?
Defense analyst Lieutenant General Retired Naeem Khalid while talking to Independent Urdu said, "It is unfortunate that our army avoids immediate response to the firing so as not to harm the civilians on the other side because the border is on the other side." But the army is in fronts. It doesn't mean we are weak.'
Lieutenant General Retired Naeem Khalid said in the context of the latest incident that 'in this recent incident one of our citizens lost his life, so whenever aggression is done by India, it is done by opening fire on civilians. But whenever we have responded, we have taken action against the other side's army.
According to General Retired Naeem Khalid: "Pakistani Army knows how to defend itself in every way, but we believe in abiding by peace agreements. Our ability to respond to India at every level is recognized by the whole world."
Meanwhile, senior analyst Salman Ghani while talking to Independent said that whenever a peace agreement and ceasefire agreement is agreed between Pakistan and India, it is first broken by India. This time too, as the elections are approaching, traditional tactics have been tried by India.
