The fact that Islamic countries do not care about the genocide of the Uyghurs, the burning of mosques, the burning of the Koran, the banning of Islam as a "disease" or the Chineseization of Islam has become a problem that researchers and political analysts have been paying attention to until now. A recent article on Democracy for the Arab World (DAWN) by Jon Hoffman titled "Why China Finds Middle Eastern Partners to Suppress Uighurs?" The article provides a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of this issue.
According to the article, the Chinese government has not only asked Muslim-majority countries, especially Middle Eastern countries, to ignore the genocide taking place in the Uyghur region, but has also tried to praise the crime as justified and correct. As a result, these countries have become increasingly dependent on China's trade, investment, and oil markets, and have not only remained silent on China's oppression of Uyghurs and other Muslim ethnic groups, but have openly praised and cooperated with China.
In particular, countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt openly agreed with China's propaganda, and even directly helped the Chinese government to suppress the Uyghurs, and transferred Uyghur refugees from the country to China at China's request. In 2019, 37 countries, including these three countries, sent a signed letter to the President of the UN Human Rights Council, praising China's "contribution to international human rights"; The Chinese government said it had fought "terrorism, separatism and extremism in Xinjiang" and re-established "peace and security".
The author of this article, Dr. John Hoffman, an expert on Middle East issues, received an interview with our radio station and said that there is no big difference between Arab-Islamic countries and Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and other Muslim countries in not opposing the humiliation and oppression suffered by Uyghur Muslims. Although there have been some strong statements on the issue, it has been quiet recently as Turkey's economic cooperation with China has developed over the years. If we look at Middle Eastern countries and Pakistan, they are getting closer to the East, that is, China; The Uyghurs are being repressed in partnership with China. "Whether it's an Arab country, whether it's Turkey or Iran, they're basically the same."
Mustafa Akiyol, a senior researcher at Cato College, an American think tank, was interviewed by our radio station and said that the Turkish people were motivated to make a statement that was a little different from other Islamic countries. "We will let China know that we cannot stand by," he said. Although this is a weak point, it is a little better when applied to other Muslim countries. This is mainly due to the Turkish people's close attention to this matter. The nationalist and religious people in Turkey have long known the oppression of the Uyghurs. "The opposition parties also raised this issue."
At the beginning of January this year, a delegation of 30 scholars from 14 countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates visited the Uyghur region, which was organized by the "World Muslim Council" established in the United Arab Emirates. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the council, said, "The efforts of the Chinese government to fight terrorism in Xinjiang and the determination of Chinese leaders to work for the people in the region are worthy of praise."
The above examples given in the article show that Muslim countries have continued to have close relations with China, so China has sidelined those countries, oppressed the Uyghurs, and spread Islam at will.
In this article, Dr. John Hofmann pointed out that the Islamic countries are not only economically connected to China, but also share a sovereign policy. He said: "As I have emphasized in this article, the Islamic countries have common goals with China. It is to make religion work for the state. Therefore, the authoritarian rulers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and other countries have a monopoly on Islam. In China, the Chinese Communist Party single-handedly controls Islam; The Chineseization of Islam is precisely from that sentence.
The article suggests that the Chinese government fears Middle Eastern countries exporting political Islam and Xinjiang's Uyghur Muslims forming transnational ties with foreign Islamic communities. But when it's China's turn, it arbitrarily oppresses Uyghurs by linking them to international terrorism, and even commits genocide.
Dr. John Hoffman believes that the Chinese government is carrying out a plan to suppress and destroy the Uyghurs under the pretext of fighting political Islam and radicalism. He said about it:
After the "September 11th" and the "Arab Spring" revolution, Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt have adopted weapons to fight terrorism; He repressed those who opposed his rule as "terrorists", whether they were religious or secular. The Chinese adopted a similar approach to the Uyghurs. All of them used the idea of "fear of Islam" of the West as a weapon. They said that we are fighting terrorism, but in fact they suppressed all the opposition.
The author believes that Islamic countries recognize China as a major political and economic power in the world today; Second, most of these countries are authoritarian regimes, essentially the same as the Chinese regime. Thirdly, the rulers of this country are afraid of democracy due to the upheavals of the "Arab Spring" and hate democracy and freedom as a product of the United States and the West. Fourth, they believe that China can form a balance of power against the United States and the Western world in the future, and even surpass the United States, and "protect the Muslim world against the pressure of the Western powers."
Mr. Mustafa Akiol put forward several reasons why Muslim countries abandon Uyghurs: "China is a developed economic power, and many Islamic countries are willing to invest in China and take advantage of its economic opportunities. But it is a very evil thing to sacrifice the Uyghurs for this. Second, most of the rulers of Islamic countries are authoritarian, and they see China as a political model, not just as an economic model. Third, China regards the Uighur issue as its internal affairs. Islamic countries like this very much, because when they repress their opposition and minority people, they call it their internal affairs. Fourthly, there is hostility towards the West in the Muslim world, and there is the Palestinian-Israeli problem. Muslim hatred of the Western world has reached such a level of blind hatred that all evil comes from the West and anti-Westerners are good. If Israel bombs Palestine, the Muslims will riot, and the Chinese Uyghurs will be oppressed even worse. Their problem is America, the West, and Israel. It even sees China and Russia as superior forces against the West. However, Muslims must rise up against the oppressor wherever there is oppression, and this oppression may come from Western or Eastern powers. Currently, China is the country with the biggest 'Islamophobia' in the world, but Muslims continue to talk about Islamophobia in the Western world, holding meetings and cursing. If Israel bombs Palestine, the Muslims will riot, and the Chinese Uyghurs will be oppressed even worse. Their problem is America, the West, and Israel. It even sees China and Russia as superior forces against the West. He also noted that Turkey's attitude towards the Uyghurs will change significantly after the election: "I think, if the government changes in Turkey, and the National Alliance becomes the head of the government, Turkey's attitude towards the Uyghurs will be improved. Raise a stronger voice against China. Because among the parties that will come to the government, there is the ``Yi Party'' that raises the Uyghur issue the most, and there is the ``Future Party'' of Ahmet Davutson. In addition, Turkey will move away from the hostility of the West created by Erdoğan; Learning from China will get rid of the sense of dependence on China. We don't know if the government in Turkey is really changing or not. If there is an alternative, I think it will have a positive effect on Turkey."
Evening talk about Zhongnanhai: The content of Liu Yazhou’s article 22 years ago made patriotic soldiers so desperate that they wanted to die, "military talent", and "China Hawk"
Liu Yazhou, who was once evaluated by the CCP's official media as "high-level literacy", "military talent", and "China Hawk", etc., was so desperate that he wanted to die after reading his articles such as "The Review of the Golden Gate Battle" by the young soldiers of the year. a feeling of. I even feel that not only I deserve to die, but the entire Chinese nation deserves to die; the Communist Party, which is undemocratic, unfree, and authoritarian, and has not done anything beneficial to the people, deserves to die;
Our previous article in this column, "Is Liu Yazhou really opposed to attacking Taiwan by force?" " has already introduced that if Liu Yazhou's article "Review of the Golden Gate Campaign" is carefully studied, in any case, it should not be concluded that Liu Yazhou opposes "attacking Taiwan by force" or opposing "military reunification". On the contrary, Liu Yazhou's masterpiece, written 22 years ago, was not just advocating that "the attack on Taiwan will inevitably lead to defeat." Jiang Zemin, then general secretary of the Communist Party of China: "Only by earnestly absorbing the lessons of the bloody battle of Kinmen can we hold our cards in the future decisive battle across the Taiwan Strait."
However, Mao Zuo in mainland China reprimanded in his critical article that "the entire article "Review of the Golden Gate Battle" completely stood on the standpoint of Chiang Kai-shek's army, ridiculed and gloated at the sacrificed PLA commanders and fighters, and exaggerated it to the reactionary forces." Fighting spirit", I am very grateful and grateful.
The author who wrote this kind of article critical of Liu used Liu Yazhou's visit to Kinmen and "visited his memorial hall" as evidence. The conclusion is that "the Battle of Kinmen played up by Liu Yazhou is to cheer up the Chiang Kai-shek army, hit the morale of the People's Liberation Army, and try to frighten the pace of liberating Taiwan. This protects the model of democracy in his mind and the way out of the Chinese nation. Taiwan-style politics";" After reading Liu’s review of the Kinmen Campaign, I feel that the People’s Liberation Army is no longer able and incapable to fight the bandit army, and of course it is unnecessary to think about liberating Taiwan by force!!”
In fact, in an objective evaluation, Liu Yazhou’s "Review of the Golden Gate Battle" can be said to have revealed some "dark side" of the CCP's history and can be used by the "rebels" as evidence, only the following paragraph: "Our army was captured in the Golden Gate Battle More than 4,000 people, of which 3,000 people were repatriated to the mainland in batches by Taiwan fishing boats in 1952. These 3,000 people were all expelled from the party and military, and sent back to their hometowns to farm. Some were identified as traitors and sentenced to prison. The Cultural Revolution Among them, 3,000 people were all criticized, even the peasants were not spared. In their own words: "Three days of hard fighting and thirty years of suffering." "After 1983, the restoration of policies for these suffering soldiers was nothing more than reissuing some money and goods, restoring party membership, and dealing with military status as demobilization. Many of them have long passed away due to reasons such as starvation, illness, criticism, and old age. The living people are all over 70 years old, and their hair is falling. Their lives are ruined like this. Chen Zhiwen, the instructor of the Assistance Corps, was unyielding after being captured. He was re-examined and his party membership was restored. Over 30 years of grievances were declared. Due to excessive excitement, he suffered a heart attack and died. I have never enjoyed the blessings. Fate is poor'."
that is it!
Due to space limitations, it is impossible for the author to conduct a detailed analysis of Liu Yazhou's "Review of the Golden Gate Battle" paragraph by sentence, but the sentence "only in this way can we be sure of the future in Taiwan's decisive battle" is enough to show Liu Yazhou's painstaking efforts. The most important thing is, as a review article on "Military News Network" said, "Take history as a mirror, and setbacks in the past will shape future generations." :
The author has read all the articles criticizing Liu by Mao Zuo in mainland China that can be searched online, and found that many of them use Liu Yazhou's "Kinmen Campaign Review" as an "argument" that discusses the inevitable participation of the US military in the war, and believes that Liu Yazhou is " Increase the ambition of the enemy and destroy the majesty of one's own."
In his "Review of the Battle of Kinmen", Liu Yazhou specifically reminded that "history is a textbook. The experience of history is worth noting. In the future, when I fight against Taiwan, I must be prepared for the sudden intervention of a third force."
Liu Yazhou said: "This third force may be Japan, mainly the United States."
Please note that this sentence was written by Liu Yazhou 22 years ago.
Now, since Japan put forward the slogan that "whatever happens to Taiwan is what happens to Japan", the deteriorating relationship between China and Japan and the actual formation of a "miniature NATO" in Asia have convinced the whole world that Japan will never remain indifferent once a war breaks out in the Taiwan Strait. But 22 years ago, Sino-Japanese relations were on a "honeymoon". At that time, Liu Yazhou had already listed Japan as the "third force" that "intervened in a sudden form" in the CCP's war against Taiwan. It was indeed prescient.
In addition, as early as 7 years ago, in October 2015, Liu Yazhou published an article titled "Looking at Sino-Japanese Relations from the Diaoyu Islands Issue". He wrote: The continuous confrontation between China and Japan will make China and Japan move further and further away from the direction of peace and closer to the direction of war. And once China and Japan fall into a military conflict, there is only one choice for China, which must win and there is no way out.
At the time of publishing this article, Liu Yazhou was practicing his dream of strengthening the army on the throne of the political commissar of the National Defense University. A few months after this article was published, Xi Jinping personally led all the members of the Central Military Commission to the National Defense University. At that time, the official media of the Communist Party of China even used "How tough is General Liu Yazhou?" "Published a special report on the title, and specially distributed a photo of Liu Yazhou explaining to Xi Jinping, introducing in detail Liu Yazhou, who is known as "high-level literary courage", "military talent", and "China hawk". Japan relations, Sino-US relations, military reform, etc., often make tough statements, and at the same time, he will also make sharp remarks on the anti-corruption of the military.”
While the CCP’s official media called Liu Yazhou and his important theoretical assistant at the National Defense University, Senior Colonel Dai Xu, “Chinese hawks,” in the eyes of a group of Mao leftists, Liu Yazhou was the complete opposite.
In our last article, Liu Yazhou also said in his "Review of the Golden Gate Campaign": "I can affirm that once the Taiwan Strait war breaks out, the United States will definitely join the war. There are four reasons: ① In the 21st century, the United States has put China in a containment position. ②Taiwan has the geopolitical and political conditions that the United States and Japan must value. ③The United States’ commitment to Taiwan’s security. ④American values. If it does not interfere with the sovereignty of other countries, it is not the United States. Yesterday, we learned from Chiang Kai-shek the principle that "power grows out of the barrel of a gun." Today, we should learn from the Americans that "sovereignty grows out of the barrel of a gun." Sovereignty cannot be defended with words, but only with force. We must Get ready for a war with the U.S. military..."
If we only write this article 22 years ago to the above paragraph, it may also cheer up the spirits of countless Mao Zuo and patriotic thieves in the entire Chinese mainland, and dare to use guns to demand "sovereignty" from the Americans. , which means daring to go to war against the U.S. military, it sounds like it should be domineering enough.
However, when Liu Yazhou wrote this twenty-two years ago, he obviously had more than enough meaning, and then added the following paragraph: "In fact, among the several sets of plans that the U.S. military has formulated to fight against us, the third set is very similar to the "Kamikaze" ', the original text is as follows: "Let China complete the landing of more than 200,000 people, and then suddenly intervene to regain air and sea control and block the Taiwan Strait. Join forces with the Taiwan military to encircle and wipe out the Chinese army that has lost ammunition and supplies. This plan can deal a huge political blow to China, shocking and destroying the fighting will of the Chinese troops remaining on the mainland to a considerable extent. "
Whether the United States already had several sets of "combat plans" to prevent China from invading Taiwan by force 22 years ago, and how Liu Yazhou knew about it, we have no way of discussing, but it is clear that Liu Yazhou said here that "this plan can give China great political The blow, to a considerable extent, shocked and destroyed the fighting will of the Chinese troops remaining on the mainland", which made Mao Zuo and patriotic thieves unable to enjoy it. It is believed that Liu Yazhou is "enhancing the ambition of the enemy and destroying his own prestige". Linked with the objective introduction and analysis of the strength of the U.S. military in his other works of Liu Yazhou, "the upper limit of the outline", he Liu Yazhou has become the "fifth column" hidden in the army, the advocate of universal values, and the leader of the Chinese army. The number one traitor, the leader of the Leading Party, etc.
Since the news of Liu Yazhou's "possible sentence of death with a reprieve" from Hong Kong's Mingti spread back to the mainland at the beginning of this year, Mao Zuo immediately set off another upsurge in criticizing Liu. "Looking Back at Liu Yazhou" wrote: At the beginning of this century, 20 years ago, Liu Yazhou became famous, and he was known as a thinker, strategist, and theorist. He was so brilliant that people dare not look directly at him. Although Liu's book has not been officially published, there are printed copies for sale in several bookstores near the National University and Military Science. Some military colleges and universities also "pirate" Liu's book for sale. Liu's articles are on the military intranet can also see.
The author of the article criticizing Liu, who claimed to be a "young soldier" 20 years ago, recalled: I also read Liu Yazhou's articles at that time, such as "Jiashen Re-sacrifice", "Review of the Golden Gate Battle" and so on. I was also young and energetic at the time, and I was not so easy to accept other people's opinions. Liu Yazhou's article is indeed very smooth, abrupt, and fascinating, which makes people have the urge to read it. However, Liu Yazhou's remarks are completely opposite and incompatible with the education we have received before, not only in terms of content, but also in terms of emotions, positions, and ways of thinking. After reading Liu Yazhou's article, I felt that the party history, military history, Mao elections, and Marxist-Leninist philosophy I had learned before were completely wrong, outdated, and useless. I was a young soldier at the time. After reading Liu’s article, I felt very hopeless and wanted to die: not only did I feel that I deserved to die, but also the entire Chinese nation deserved to die. There was no need for such an inferior nation to live in the world. It has no future and no meaning; the Communist Party deserves to die, an undemocratic, unfree, and authoritarian party, a party that has not done anything beneficial to the people, of course deserves to die; the entire PLA also deserves to die. Unable to gain a foothold, and not qualified to compare with the US military.
An article that is so frustrating, I think, is not always a good article. Jiashen's re-sacrifice will smear our ancestors into black and white, and they are useless. The review of the Kinmen Campaign has again smeared the People's Liberation Army into black and white, and it is useless. At that time, the U.S. military was so "powerful" that, in Liu Yazhou's words, it could fight whoever it wanted, and it had no opponents. The People's Liberation Army is so small that it cannot compare with the U.S. military in any aspect. Is there any need for it to exist?
The "young soldier" who was more than 20 years ago continued to criticize: In the Jiashen re-sacrifice, Liu Yazhou regarded the Manchus as the savior of the Han people and Chinese culture, and even Yangzhou Eight Days and Jiading Three Massacres became reborn Chinese culture. Not only can we not criticize the necessary cost, but on the contrary, we have to be grateful and thankful for the butcher knife of the Qing people. Shocking—how could a senior general of the People's Liberation Army make such absurd remarks? Moreover, it has received so much popularity that almost no criticism is heard.
In particular, when the United States launched several wars of aggression such as the Iraq War, the Afghanistan War, and the Kosovo War, Liu Yazhou not only did not criticize American hegemony, but also said that if the United States is such a great nation, if it does not rule the world, who will rule the world? It was in the same tune as Phoenix Satellite TV at that time.... Although admiration of foreigners and national self-deprecation was common at that time, there are still few people who bow their knees, praise hegemony and China's old enemy like Liu Yazhou.
Based on this, the author who criticized Liu strongly questioned: "If a person like Liu (Asia) lived during the Agrarian Revolutionary War and faced the powerful reactionary forces of the Kuomintang, would he participate in the Agrarian Revolution? Would he not quit the party? Would he not rebel? If he was a senior Kuomintang general during the War of Resistance Against Japan, would he be able to persist in the War of Resistance? Would he not surrender? Would he actively oppose the Communist Party and passively resist Japan? If he was a senior general at the beginning of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, would he dare to Will he participate in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea? Will he support the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea? I doubt it."
Not only was Liu Yazhou specially criticized in large numbers, but this "young soldier" 20 years ago also randomly criticized some "hawks" figures in the CCP army who were recognized by netizens in mainland China and outside China. He said: After Liu served as the political commissar of a certain school, he recruited a group of well-known experts and scholars in the military to make the ideological education of the domestic military a mess. There is a major general who is called a "hawk", but he also proposed that "saving the United States is saving China", from the National University of China; during the Russo-Ukrainian War, he pointed out that Russia adopted a form of "abandoned by human civilization" The surnamed colonel is also from the National University; the Internet celebrity major general who said that the Americans have the help of aliens and made China prefer to believe what they have, and that North Korea is a disaster for China is also from the National University. Liu's absurd employment style is not only not criticized, but also considered "eclectic employment of talents".
The "colonel with a public surname" here undoubtedly refers to Gong Fangbin. His "cross-border" and "extraordinary" and which "net celebrity major general" once said that "North Korea is a disaster for China" will be discussed in the next part of this column. covered in this article. As mentioned above, the "patent owner" of the saying "saving the United States is saving China" should be Major General of the People's Liberation Army Air Force, Qiao Liang, a professor at the Air Force Command Academy.
June 23, 2009 "Global Times" published the famous "Unrestricted Warfare" author Qiao Liang's argument "Saving the United States is saving China." According to Qiao Liang: China's growing national power will inevitably boost the national confidence in the country. However, talking about China's independent national and international strategies at this time is actually a bit arrogant, because almost all of China's domestic and foreign policies are deeply influenced by the United States, and basically all policies must consider the response of the United States. An invisible clue to our country's decision-making. China is still tied to the economic circle of the United States. As the main product processing factory and commodity supplier of the United States, China thinks of a big country, and the strategy of a big country must consider the United States. This is a kind of helplessness for China today.
Based on the above reasons, Qiao Liang believes that China should help the United States no matter what, and cannot let the United States collapse. In fact, to save the United States is to save China. This is a topic that we must face even if we hate it. The reason why the United States cannot collapse is that the sinking of the big ship of the United States will drag all the ships next to it to the bottom of the sea. However, apart from the United States, there is no big country today that can maintain or create a brand-new international order. Only the United States still has this kind of power and appeal. Although the power of the United States has been significantly weakened, there is still no substitute. No country can replace the United States today, and the US dollar is still the most valued currency in the world.
After the above article was published, it was immediately attacked by Mao Zuo and patriotic thieves in mainland China. In fact, the purpose of Qiao Liang’s point of view at the time was to respond to the “patriotic calls” for selling U.S. debt on the Internet at that time, and to remind those patriotic thieves who were too hasty to “be calm and not rash”, trying to convince their fans that China’s purchase of U.S. treasury bonds is not because it continues to fall into the trap of the Americans in a daze, but because the interests of China and the United States have been tied together, and the main purpose of saving the United States is to protect China’s interests. But when the next economic crisis comes, it will be very difficult for the United States to get over it.
Qiao Liang's last sentence in this article is: I can't be optimistic about the United States, but China still needs to be patient and accompany the United States through this period!
