According to the report, with an inflation rate of 352 percent, Lebanon is the country most affected by inflation in the world . While China is the cheapest country in the world in terms of food inflation with 0.4 percent . It should be noted here that in the month of April, the decades-old record of inflation in the country was broken. According to the report of the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the inflation rate exceeded 36 percent in the last month. The inflation rate in April was 36.4 percent, which is the highest monthly inflation rate since 1964 . According to the data released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, inflation recorded an increase of 2.41 percent in April . According to the report, the average inflation rate from July to April was recorded at 28.23 percent . According to the notification issued by the government, the price of petrol has decreased by Rs 12 to Rs 270 per liter, while the price of high speed diesel has decreased by Rs 30 per liter to Rs 258 per liter. The new price of light speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 12 to Rs 152 68 paise per liter while the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs 164 07 paise per liter after a reduction of Rs 12.  The new rates will be applicable from May 16 to May 31. Earlier, the oil industry sources had indicated the possibility of a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 17 per liter across the country from May 16. According to Jang newspaper, the oil industry sources indicated the possibility of a decrease of Rs 27 in the price of diesel . Oil industry sources said that the price of petrol will decrease due to the falling price in the global market . While the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) also suggested the government to reduce the prices of petroleum products. OGRA has sent a summary to the federal government regarding the reduction in the prices of petroleum products, in which it has been suggested to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 7 to Rs 10 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 8 per litre.
