Show solidarity with Chief Justice: Imran Khan's appeal to the public : Pakistan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has requested people to come out of their homes on Saturday May 6 and express solidarity with the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has requested people to come out of their homes on Saturday May 6 and express solidarity with the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a video message on Wednesday that 'our country is standing at a decisive point.'

He said that 'Historical inflation and unemployment are happening in the country. They are afraid of losing this election.

Imran Khan added that 'because they are afraid of defeat in the election, they are determined to destroy the Constitution of Pakistan and the Supreme Court.'

Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf said that they are doing all kinds of propaganda against the Chief Justice and judges.

Addressing the people, he said that 'to save your constitution, Supreme Court, children's future and express solidarity with the Chief Justice, you should come out of your homes one hour before sunset on Saturday, go to your neighborhoods. If you are in the village, go out to the village.'

The Chief Justice should be called to the National Assembly and asked why he asked for the record?

This statement of Imran Khan has come when, while speaking in the National Assembly on Wednesday evening, PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the Supreme Court's request for records of the National Assembly is very serious. Is. A committee should be formed to decide it. The Chief Justice should be called here to find out why he has asked for the record.'

"Put the matter before the House, then we will decide whether to give the record or not," he said. It should be told why they have asked for this record. This is not a small matter. This is a matter of supremacy of this House. This House is the creator of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court operates according to the constitution we made.'

He said that in 1997, then Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah also called for records. Speaker Elahi Baksh Soomro sent the record without asking the House.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that part of the record was deleted, so Sajjad Ali Shah asked for the deleted record as well. 'This record is the property of House and cannot be given to anyone without the consent of House.'

Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf reacted to this and said that 'We had formed a committee and if the House gives permission, I will assign this work to him.'

Earlier, according to media reports, the Registrar's Office of the Supreme Court had written a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, seeking the record of the proceedings of five sessions of the National Assembly.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Wednesday, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that we are standing at a historic moment. We are also with the court but are against encroachment. Whenever the constitution has been violated, the judges put their thumbs on it.

Khawaja Asif said that '180 thousand cases are pending with the judiciary. The Supreme Court has 51 thousand cases. Their primary responsibility is to adjudicate cases, not to fight constitutional battles.

This is the state of our judiciary. People are hanged, then the verdict comes that they are acquitted.'

He demanded that a 'committee of the whole house be formed to decide what to do.'
