A resident of Indaygyi village who is on the run told RFA that he wants peace as soon as possible because he has to flee often and face many difficulties.
"Businesses can't do it at all. Can't do it straight. And when we have to avoid this, we face various difficulties. We, the public, are already suffering. I would also like to ask the military council to solve the issue as soon as possible in the best way to make the people peaceful and peaceful."
He said that there have been three times that he has had to flee because of military council troops entering the village of Indaygyi.
A refugee aid worker in New City Village told RFA that the current rice is helping as much as they can because the people who are fleeing have nothing but clothes.
"I'm sad because of how I feel inside. The people here have to help as much as they can. I have to run to myself because it's all just people like this. The people in the village packed rice and sent it to the monastery. I had to cook as much as I could in one house and then send it to the monastery. People who took their clothes and ran away. Nothing."
Those who fled are worried that their remaining homes will be burned down, he said.
An official of the Khin Oo Township Local Defense Force told RFA that the military council force has been acting in such a way that if they don't attack them with mines, the village will be destroyed.
"When they entered, they stopped and opened fire. If the mines are drawn, then if they have been able to enter the villages, it can be defined as arson. If they don't draw mines or anything, they want to give the news that they don't exist anymore. Don't draw mines, This is what we see. RFA reached out to Social Affairs Minister U Aye Hlaing, who is authorized to speak in Sagaing Region of the Military Council, to get a response on the residents fleeing, but could not get a response as his phone was switched off.
