Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the North American Aerospace Defense Command had shot down an unidentified object that had violated Canadian airspace.

He added that the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) shot down the object over the Yukon Territory in the far northwest of Canada.

He added, “Airplanes were sent from Canada and the United States,” and an AIM 9X missile fired by an American F-22 managed to “hit” its target.

In another tweet, Trudeau stated that he had spoken with US President Joe Biden about the unknown object.

He indicated that the Canadian Forces would analyze the wreckage of the downed object.
