The logo was revealed during a ceremony at the Umm Salal Mohammed Heritage Reserve, north of the capital, Doha.  This year, Qatar National Day will coincide with the final match of the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on November 20.  In his speech during the inauguration, Minister of Culture Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani said: "The National Day is an exceptional event, as it coincides with Qatar's hosting of the World Cup."  He added, "Therefore, each of us becomes an ambassador for this benevolent country, the big and the small, the citizen and the resident... an ambassador for our morals, values, culture, chivalry and wisdom."  He pointed out that "our unity is the source of our strength, an excerpt from a speech by the Emir of the country that embodies the reality of the Qataris since the epic of founding."  He pointed out that "the activities of Darb Al Saai will be launched from November 25 to December 19, with more than 80 shops and 80 cafes, and more than 4,500 cultural and heritage activities."  The activities of "Darb Al Saai" are an opportunity to introduce the Qatari heritage, as it provides a vivid embodiment of the life of ancestors in many aspects.  Qatar National Day is the anniversary of the accession of Prince Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, founder of the State of Qatar, to power in 1878.
