The 11-year-old girl, Lian Al-Shaer, died of her wounds in the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, while Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem announced that the girl arrived last Tuesday in a state of clinical death as a result of a head injury.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that a 10-year-old girl, who was receiving treatment at Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem, died Thursday of her injuries during the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The association said in a statement: "Our crews are working to transfer the body of the child martyr Lian Al-Shaer (10 years), after she died of her wounds sustained during the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip."
The association added: "Our crews transported the child Lian (the poet) with two other children two days ago from the Erez checkpoint to Al-Makassed Hospital (in Jerusalem) to receive treatment."
In turn, the official Palestinian news agency “Wafa” quoted the Makassed Hospital administration as saying that the little girl arrived at the hospital last Tuesday in a state of clinical death, as a result of a head injury, as shrapnel from Israeli missiles penetrated her brain and damaged the most sensitive areas in it.
With the death of the little girl, Al-Shaer, the number of victims of the three-day Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 48, with 360 injured.
