Anadolu Agency reported that President Erdogan's plane landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, at 20.50 (3 GMT).
He added that the governor of the Mecca region, Khaled Al-Faisal, was at the forefront of Erdogan's future at the airport.
Among those receiving Erdogan at the airport were the Turkish ambassador in Riyadh, Fatih Ulusoy, and Turkey's permanent representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mehmet Metin Aker.
It is expected that Erdogan will meet at a later time with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and they will discuss bilateral relations in all aspects.
The Turkish president is accompanied by his wife Emine Erdogan, Interior Ministers Suleyman Soylu, Defense Hulusi Akar, Justice Bekir Bozdag, Health Fahrettin Koca, and Treasury and Finance Nurettin Nebati.
He is also accompanied by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş, in addition to the Vice President of the Justice and Development Party, Bin Ali Yildirim, the head of the Intelligence Service, Hakan Fidan, and the head of the presidential communications department, Fahrettin Altun.
Earlier today, Erdogan said, in a press conference held at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul before heading to Saudi Arabia, that his visit is an indication of the joint will to start a new phase of cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
He added, "My visit to Saudi Arabia is an indication of our common will to start a new phase of cooperation as two brotherly countries."
He explained that the two countries will review, during his visit, the Turkish-Saudi relations in all their dimensions.

The health condition of the detainee Abu Hamid began to deteriorate clearly since August 2021, as he began to suffer from pain in his chest until it was found that he had a tumor on the lung, and about 10 centimeters of the tumor was removed, then he was transferred back to the “Ashkelon” detention center before it was identical. For recovery, what brought him to this dangerous stage.
Later, after the doctors acknowledged the necessity of taking chemotherapy, he was again deliberately procrastinating in providing him with the necessary treatment, until he started receiving it .
It is noteworthy that the detainee, Abu Hamid, is from Al-Amari camp in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate. He has been detained since 2002, and has been sentenced to life imprisonment seven times and (50 years).
