The 20 most difficult types of pain that humans can suffer
Have you ever wondered what is the most difficult pain that humans can suffer? The answer is in this report.
In this report, published by the British newspaper The Independent , writer Chelsea Rachel spoke about the most difficult pain that humans can suffer.
According to the National Health Service (NHS), there are 20 conditions classified as "disabling pain" that prevents a person from performing daily tasks, and it includes common pain such as bone fractures and kidney stones, and less common pain such as gout or trigeminal neuralgia.
"Stiff shoulder" pain is described by the NHS as one of the worst pain patients suffer, in which the joint is so tight and stiff that it is almost impossible to raise the arm. This condition can last for several years if left untreated.
The writer mentioned that endometriosis is a stressful female condition, as the tissues that normally line the uterine wall grow outside it.
It takes an average of 7 and a half years to diagnose this condition, which is believed to affect one in 10 women, during which women suffer from pelvic pain, menstrual pain, pain during intercourse, as well as fertility problems.
The NHS list of the most common conditions that can cause the most pain includes; Arthritis, appendicitis and migraine headaches.
Here is the complete list of the most difficult pains that humans can suffer, in no order:
1- "Herpes zoster" (Shingles).
2- Cluster headaches.
3- "Frozen shoulder".
4- Broken bones.
5- Complex regional pain syndrome.
6- Heart attack.
7- Herniated disc.
8- "Sickle cell disease".
9- Arthritis.
10- Migraine headache.
11- Sciatica.
12- Kidney stones.
13- "Appendicitis".
14- "Trigeminal neuralgia".
15 - acute pancreatitis.
16- "gout"
17- Endometriosis.
18 - stomach ulcers.
19- "Fibromyalgia".
20- Postoperative pain.
Speaking of these cases, Dr. Gary Leroy, a family physician in Dayton, Ohio, says, "They are all very painful and often encountered in a healthcare setting."
Dr. Leroy adds two more cases to this list. They are back pain "most common in primary health care practices" and "dental pain".
Dr. Leroy confirms that "chronic low back pain affects 80% of the population at some point in their lives, and it is normal for a person to feel after performing movements such as bending, pushing and pulling, musculoskeletal pain in the back."
According to Dr. Leroy, dental pain - which is often ignored - is very painful, adding that many patients who complain of pain in the mouth, jaw or ears already have dental problems, such as an abscess.
Regarding what to do if the pain “affects the person’s ability to carry out his daily tasks” or “impedes him from sleeping or feeding”, Dr. Leroy recommends the need to consult a doctor, warning of the health complications of persistent pain.
Dr. Leroy also advises seeking emergency medical attention for heart attack-related pain, which he describes as "the worst headache you'll ever get", kidney stones, acute pancreatitis and appendicitis, noting that these can be life-threatening conditions.
