When do religious fighters want to ban the sale of cigarettes to Muslims?
Recently, those who claim to be Islamic fighters and defenders of the ummah are actively working to eliminate sin, by banning gambling and making it difficult to sell alcohol.
This is done to protect the community from destruction and social ills, including non -Muslims. These fighters feel that this group needs to be guided for good.
Yet, if these religious fighters truly love society, then they should move to ban and prohibit another social phenomenon that not only endangers themselves, but the people around them.
This symptom is a smoking habit.
The National Fatwa Council clearly states that smoking - and even smoking vape - is illegal for Muslims.
However, a Muslim over the age of 18 can buy cigarettes, tobacco or other products that contain nicotine so easily without any legal action.
This includes in states led by Islamic governments guided by the Quran, hadith, and scholars such as Kedah and Kelantan.
In fact, these Muslim smokers are so arrogant that they dare to commit the sin of smoking in places where smoking or vape is prohibited, including in the Dewan Rakyat.
This very much does not reflect the personality and behavior of a believing Muslim.
It is clear that nicotine addiction is something that is very harmful.
Science clearly shows that smoking can cause cancer and it also harms those around, who are forced to breathe in the middle of cigarette smoke.
Do these Muslim fighters have no pity on children who live with fathers or mothers who smoke. This is not only detrimental to the health of the children, but also sets a bad example for them to do ugly things.
This disgusting and dangerous habit needs to be stopped.
Thus, I call on those who consider themselves defenders of the ummah and fighters of Islam to immediately take steps to legally ban the sale and smoking of cigarettes, vapes, and other tobacco products for Muslims.
Surely there will be people who are addicted to smoking will claim that quitting the habit will be harmful, then it is necessary or disgusting for them to smoke.
Don't be fooled. This is an addict's trick.
As a former cigarette addict, I can confirm, that quitting smoking is indeed difficult. It will feel unwell and some may even have a fever.
This is because our body craves nicotine poison. It’s part of the recovery process for us to stop being addicted.
But it is not occasionally harmful. After the addiction disappears, then the pain of quitting smoking will disappear.
It is safe, whereas letting the addict continue to smoke is harmful and also allows them to continue sinning doing things that are clearly illegal in terms of religion.
States like Kedah and Kelantan have no reason not to follow fatwas banning cigarettes, and continue to ban the sale of cigarettes to all Muslims.
If they really want to defend the ummah, then this is the step they should take.
Let us not be hypocrites or hypocrites who only take easy steps on things that are already prohibited by law for Muslims.
Let us not be hypocrites or hypocrites who only oppress the rights of non -Muslims in order to gain political points easily while riding on religion.
Hypocrites and hypocrites are very much hated by Islam, and any good Islamic government should not be a group of hypocrites who ride the religion and abuse the religion of Islam.
