German medical device ‫alhima Association said that ulcerative colitis (Ulcerative colitis) is one of the inflammatory bowel disease, which is characterized by continuous ‫mrd chronic inflammation of the surface layer of the mucous membrane of ‫llcolon and rectum with ulcers form in this layer.

The association explained that the causes of ulcerative colitis are not precisely known, but doctors believe that the causes are due to genetic factors, dysfunction in the immune system and changes in the normal gut bacteria.

A doctor should be consulted as soon as these symptoms are noticed to undergo treatment as soon as possible, to avoid the serious risks that may result from inflammation, such as colon cancer  .

Treatment includes anti-inflammatory drugs and drugs that suppress the immune system. In severe cases, surgery, such as resection of the colon and rectum.

Treatment for ulcerative colitis aims to relieve symptoms and prevent their return, and medications include corticosteroids and medications that suppress the immune system.

In severe cases, the hospital should be consulted for fear of perforation in the intestine.

If medication does not control the disease, surgery to remove the colon may be required.
