At least 80 people have died in the grip of the storm. America Tornado: Dozens of destructive tornadoes occurred overnight in five states of America, due to which more than 80 people died on Saturday. US President Joe Biden has described it as one of the biggest storms in history. Biden said in one of his remarks on television that it is a tragedy and we still do not know how many people lost their lives. Search and rescue officers were helping civilians in the US heartland search for survivors under the rubble of their homes and businesses. It is believed that more than 70 people died in Kentucky alone. Many of them worked at candle factories, while at least six people were killed at an Amazon warehouse in Illinois where they were preparing night shift orders for Christmas. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said the incident was "the worst, most devastating and deadliest tornado in Kentucky history". He said that he is afraid that we will lose more than 100 people. "This is a catastrophe unlike anything I have seen in my life and I find it difficult to put into words," the governor said. The governor said there were "massive casualties" when a roof collapsed at a candle factory in the city of Mayfield. The governor said he had declared a state of emergency before midnight. The storm has caused havoc in many states of America. The mayor of Mayfield said the western Kentucky town had turned into a 'matchbox'. The small town of 10,000 people has been called 'Ground Zero' by the authorities. There has been widespread destruction in the city. Historic houses and buildings have collapsed. Tree branches have been broken and cars are overturned in the fields. Beshear said that around 110 people were working in the candle factory at the time of the storm, due to which its roof collapsed. He said that forty people have been rescued, but if anyone else is found alive then it will be a miracle. A heartbreaking post has been made on Facebook by a factory worker. In which a woman says, "We are stuck, please, you all help us". He said, "We are at the candle factory in Mayfield. Please, all of you pray for us".
