This support was conveyed by the Mayor of Oxford Mark Lygo when giving a speech at the opening of the "ISME UK Expo in Oxford" event at Oxford Town Hall, England on Sunday (28/11).  "Indonesia is a large country that is very diverse and rich. I am sure that through this event, more and more British public will get to know Indonesia and the friendship between the two countries will be strengthened," said Mark Lygo.  The City Government of Oxford also ensures that the city of Oxford will continue to be a welcoming place for students and the Indonesian people.  The "ISME UK Expo in Oxford" event is a series of promotional activities and exhibitions for Indonesian MSME products that will be held in various cities throughout the UK.  This activity received support from the City Government of Oxford and is a collaboration of Indonesian SMEs in the UK (ISME UK), which is a community consisting of MSME traders from Indonesia in the UK, the Indonesian Embassy in London, representatives of Bank Indonesia, BNI, Mandiri and student association members. Indonesia (PPI).  "ISME UK Expo in Oxford offers Indonesia's best products, along with the increasingly intensive economic relations between the two countries. ISME can play a role in bridging the connection between Indonesian MSMEs in the UK and the business sector in both countries to increase access to Indonesian products to the UK," said the Indonesian Ambassador to the UK. The head of ISME UK, Enggi Holt, expressed the high enthusiasm of local residents to visit the promotion of Indonesia. More than 1,500 residents attended.  "This proves the good relationship between the Indonesian community and the local government, as well as the increasing interest of the people of Oxford to get to know Indonesia," said Enggi.  The promotional event showcased a variety of Indonesian specialties, ranging from batik and woven fabrics, footwear, bags, silver jewelry, ceramics, wood crafts, to eco-friendly home furnishing products.  During the promotional event, visitors were also treated to Indonesian specialties, and could enjoy traditional music and dance, gamelan workshops, and information about learning Indonesian.
