For his part, head of the Chadian Transitional Military Council, Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, said that Turkey and Chad have historical relations that extend back 500 years.
Itno added that he discussed many high-level issues during his meeting with President Erdogan, pointing to the signing of new bilateral agreements.
He explained that the agreements and protocols signed in various fields between the two countries indicate the dynamics of relations between Turkey and Chad, stressing that cooperation in the fields of energy, aviation, defense, security, infrastructure, scientific research, education and media is one of the basics of cooperation.
Itno stated that Turkey and Chad support each other, referring to their discussion of cooperation with international organizations such as the United Nations and the African Union.
