Messi scored his first goal in his career with Saint Germain - who joined him in the last summer transfer period after the end of his career with his former club Barcelona - during the French team's 2-0 victory over its guest Manchester City, while Ronaldo scored a goal in the last seconds, which led him United to win 2-1 at home to Spanish club Villarreal.

The Egyptian star advanced to the 22nd place in the ranking of the historical scorers of the European Champions League, joint with Dutch star Arjen Robben, by scoring 31 goals in 60 matches he played during his career in the competition, with 28 goals with Liverpool, two goals with his former team, Basel, the Swiss, and a goal with Italian Roma.
Salah surpassed retired Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o, who scored 30 goals in his career in the tournament, to be the only historical scorer for African players in the prestigious competition, 13 goals behind the former Ivorian striker Didier Drogba.
Salah is currently third in the Champions League top scorer this season, two goals behind Ivorian Sebastian Haller, Ajax Amsterdam striker, while Polish star Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich's top scorer, shares second place in the tournament's top scorer this season with French Christoph Nkunku.
