Clubhouse launches Wave feature
Clubhouse has added a new functionality to facilitate automatic social gatherings and get-togethers between friends. And the new Wave option lets you signal to your connections when you're active in the app to chat.

More than 700,000 rooms are created here every day, many of these shared moments that you know and love. But it's often the smaller private moments between friends that put smiles on faces.
The Wave option caters to these use cases, which see social audio now expanding into more private chats, providing another way to stay in touch with friends, at any time, which can be ideal for our still limited interactions.
To send a Wave, the company said, swipe right across the lobby or tap the dots icon in the bottom left of the screen. Then click the wave button next to the person you want to chat with. And they get a notification that you said hi, and they know you're open to chat. And if they are, they can join a private room with you that's open to only the people you waved at. You can keep it in one social circle, introduce friends from different groups to each other, or open the room wider and make it all for everyone.
Clubhouse wants to attract friends into voice chats by continuing to use Clubhouse as you normally would. The company also says, to avoid confusion, if you have the app running in the background, you won't be immediately pulled into a room if someone responds.
The platform wants to encourage more causal, social, and micro-moments in its application, which has recently seemed to become associated with professional appointment-based experiences.
It is reported that the social audio app got a lot of buzz at first and everyone was asking to join it when they needed an invite to do so. But many users lost interest after that once the invitation restrictions were lifted.
Excellent 😊
